§ 2-13-4 Appointment of commissioners.– The governor shall designate and appoint three (3) members, calledcommissioners, of the northeastern forest fire protection commission. One ofthose commissioners shall always be the director of environmental management oran officer holding an equivalent position who is responsible for forest firecontrol, the second shall be a state legislator who is a member of the RhodeIsland commission on interstate co-operation, and the third shall be a citizenof the state designated by the governor as his or her responsiblerepresentative to serve at the pleasure of the governor.
