§ 23-17.4-4 License required for assistedliving residence operation. – (a) No person, acting severally or jointly with any other person, shallestablish, conduct, or maintain an assisted living residence in this statewithout a license under this chapter.
(b) No person, acting severally or jointly with any otherperson, shall admit or retain a resident in an assisted living residence whichresidence: (1) does not meet the definition and requirements of this chapter;or (2) is not able to provide the services needed by a resident as agreed to inthe service plan required under § 23-17.4-15.6.
