SECTION 23-25-16

   § 23-25-16  Monitoring of environment.– (a) As part of his or her responsibility in administering this chapter, thedirector will carry out a program of monitoring the amounts of pesticidesthroughout the environment in the state. Portions of the environment to bemonitored will include but will not be limited to: fresh and salt waters of thestate; soils; crops intended for human or animal consumption; places where foodis served commercially or in institutions and where food for human or animalconsumption is handled, stored, transported, prepared, or processed; andwildlife.

   (b) Results of the monitoring program will be reviewed atleast annually by the pesticide relief advisory board.

   (c) In carrying out the provisions of this section, thedirector may enter into agreements with public or private agencies to secureany technical assistance it deems necessary.
