§ 27-20.3-9 Operational agreements. –(a) Any nonprofit hospital service corporation, organized pursuant toprovisions of chapter 19 of this title, is authorized to enter intoadministrative agreements with nonprofit prepaid legal service corporationsorganized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
(b) Nonprofit prepaid legal service corporations, organizedpursuant to the provisions of this chapter, are authorized to enter intoadministrative agreements with any nonprofit hospital service corporationorganized pursuant to the provisions of chapter 19 of this title or commercialinsurance companies duly licensed and authorized to conduct business in thisstate.
(c) In the event a nonprofit prepaid legal servicecorporation, organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, enters intoan administrative agreement with a commercial insurance company duly licensedand authorized to conduct business in this state, nothing contained in thischapter shall be construed to exempt the commercial insurance company from thelaws of this state regulating insurance companies or the regulations of thedirector of business regulation applicable to the company.
