SECTION 28-39-16

   § 28-39-16  Enforcement of subpoenas.– In case of contumacy by, or refusal to obey a subpoena issued to, any person,pursuant to chapters 39 – 41 of this title, the sixth division of thedistrict court, upon application by the director or the board of review, shallhave jurisdiction to issue to that person an order requiring that person toappear before the director or his or her duly authorized representative, or theboard of review or its duly authorized representatives, there to produceevidence if so ordered or there to give testimony touching the matter underinvestigation or in question. Any failure to obey that order of the court maybe punished by the court as a contempt of court. A party aggrieved by an orderof the court may appeal that order to the supreme court in accordance with theprocedures contained in Article I of the Supreme Court Rules.
