SECTION 28-9-11

   § 28-9-11  Summons of witnesses –Attendance by arbitrators – Majority required for award. – The arbitrator or arbitrators selected as prescribed in this chapter mayrequire any person to attend before them as a witness; and he or she and theyhave, and each of them has, the same powers with respect to all the proceedingsbefore them which are conferred upon a board or a member of a board authorizedby law to hear testimony. All the arbitrators selected as prescribed in thischapter must meet together and hear all the allegations and proofs of theparties, but an award by a majority of them is valid unless the concurrence ofall is expressly required in the submission or contract.
