SECTION 3-5-18

   § 3-5-18  Signature on licenses –Posting and exhibition. – (a) Class A licenses issued under this chapter shall bear the signature writtenby hand of the clerk of the licensing board, body, or officials issuing them,and shall not be printed, stamped, typewritten, engraved, photographed or cutfrom one instrument and attached to another and shall be kept posted in plainview by the licensee in a conspicuous position in the room or place licensed,and shall be exhibited on demand to any sheriff or deputy sheriff of thecounty, to any city or town sergeant, constable, officer or member of the cityor town police or to any member of the department of state police or agent ofthe department.

   (b) All other licenses issued under this chapter shall bearthe signature written by hand of the clerk of the licensing board, body, orofficials issuing them, and shall not be printed, stamped, typewritten,engraved, photographed or cut from one instrument and attached to another, andshall be kept posted in plain view by the licensee in a conspicuous position inthe room or place licensed, and shall be exhibited on demand. Said licenseshall be maintained within the premises but need not be posted. The licenseshall be exhibited to any sheriff or deputy sheriff of the county, to any cityor town sergeant, constable, officer or member of the city or town police or toany member of the department of state police or agent of the department whorequest proof that the establishment is duly licensed.
