§ 30-9-4 Bonds of accountable andresponsible officers. – Any officer of the militia in whose possession or responsibility shall beplaced public moneys or public property owned by the state, or for which thestate is liable, if required by the governor, shall give bond for theprotection of the state, conditioned to faithfully and properly perform theduties of his or her office and to account for all public moneys and publicproperty in his or her possession or for which the officer is responsible. Thebonds shall be in an amount, in a form, and with surety satisfactory to theadjutant general. The premium thereon shall be paid by the state.
