SECTION 31-1-12

   § 31-1-12  Explosives and flammableliquids. – (a) "Explosive" means any chemical compound or chemical mixture that iscommonly used or intended for the purpose of producing an explosion and whichcontains any oxidizing and combustive units or other ingredients in suchproportions, quantities, or packing that an ignition by fire, friction,concussion, percussion, or detonation of any part of the compound or mixturemay cause a sudden generation of highly heated gases with resultant gaseouspressures capable of producing destructive effects on contiguous objects or ofdestroying life or limb.

   (b) "Flammable liquid" means any liquid which has a flashpoint of seventy degrees Fahrenheit (70° F.), or less, as determined by atagliabue or equivalent closed cup test device.
