§ 42-17.1-20 - Powers and duties of deputy director for environmental quality.

SECTION 42-17.1-20

   § 42-17.1-20  Powers and duties of deputydirector for environmental quality. – The deputy director for environmental quality shall have the following powersand duties:

   (1) Oversight of and participation in the environmentalquality study commission created by § 42-17.1-21;

   (2) Collaboration with the director of the department ofenvironmental management to effectuate a smooth operation of regulatoryfunctions;

   (3) Preparation of a budget to address the needs of theenvironmental regulatory programs in fiscal year 1990;

   (4) Subject to the authority of the director, exercise of allfunctions currently assigned to the director of the department of environmentalmanagement within the divisions of air and hazardous materials, waterresources, and groundwater and freshwater wetlands.
