SECTION 42-9.1-6

   § 42-9.1-6  Immunity. – In the absence of malice or bad faith, any health care provider or entitylicensed by the state of Rhode Island, or an authorized agent of such healthcare provider or entity, who upon request by the attorney general providesinformation that is not identifiable to a specific person to the attorneygeneral in accordance with this chapter shall be immune from prosecution forthe release of such information that is not identifiable to a specific personto the attorney general and shall not be liable in any way for damages to anyindividual for the release of such information to the attorney general. Nothingherein is intended to abrogate or modify in any way any common law or statutoryprivilege or immunity heretofore enjoyed by such health care provider or entityor its agents.
