§ 45-32-25.1 Transfer of property by thestate. – The director of the Rhode Island department of administration is herebyauthorized and directed to grant, transfer, and convey in fee simple, in thename of and for the State of Rhode Island to the Providence redevelopmentagency, and the Providence redevelopment agency is authorized to accept titleto, that certain real estate described below and all improvements on the realestate belonging to the State of Rhode Island situated in the City ofProvidence, Rhode Island. The provisions of chapters 6 and 7 of title 37 shallnot be applicable to the conveyance set forth in this section:
That certain parcel or tract of land with all improvementsthereon situated on the easterly side of Cottage Street and Fountain Street andthe northerly side of Washington Street in the City of Providence, County ofProvidence, State of Rhode Island and bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Cottage Street;
Thence running N49-59'-52"E bounding northerly by propertynow or formerly belonging to Speedy Muffler, Inc. for a distance of 3.87 feetto a corner;
Thence running southerly curving to the left along the arc ofa circle having a radius of 1582.20 feet, a central angle of 14-10'-03" for anarc distance of 391.23 feet to a point of reverse curvature, the chord of thecurve having a bearing of S25-16'-05"E;
Thence continuing southerly curving to the right along thearc of a circle having a radius of 32.00, a central angle of 54-22'-23" for anarc distance of 30.37 feet to a corner in the northerly street line ofWashington Street;
Thence running S51-24'-32"W along the northerly street lineof Washington Street for a distance of 3.00 feet to a corner and property nowor formerly belonging to Providence redevelopment agency;
Thence running N39-30'-28"W bounding southwesterly by theProvidence redevelopment agency property for a distance of 89.60 feet to acorner and other property now or formerly belonging to Providence redevelopmentagency;
Thence running N51-24'-32"E bounding northwesterly by theProvidence redevelopment agency property for a distance of 1.50 feet to acorner;
Thence running N47-05'-38"W bounding southwesterly by theProvidence redevelopment agency for a distance of 71.54 feet to a corner in thenortherly street line of Fountain Street;
Thence running N34-48'-32"E along the southerly street lineof Fountain Street from a distance of 35.65 feet to the southeasterly corner ofFountain Street;
Thence running N44-12'-38"W along the easterly terminus ofFountain Street for a distance of 50.29 feet to a corner and property now orformerly belonging to Providence redevelopment agency;
Thence running N38-37'-28"W bounding southwesterly by theProvidence redevelopment agency property for a distance of 150.69 feet to acorner in the southerly street line of Cottage Street;
Thence running N49-59'-52"E along the southerly street lineof Cottage Street for a distance of 75.00 feet to the southeasterly corner ofCottage Street;
Thence running N16-32'-38"W along the easterly terminus ofCottage Street for a distance of 32.80 feet to the point and place of beginning;
This parcel contains 15,163 square feet.
