§ 45-40.1-8 Interlocal contracts. –Any one or more public agencies may contract with any one or more other publicagencies to perform any governmental service, activity, or undertaking whichany of the public agencies entering into the contract is authorized by law toperform; provided, that the contract is authorized by the governing body ofeach party to the contract. The contract shall state fully the purposes,powers, rights, objectives, and responsibilities of the contracting parties.
