SECTION 45-6-2.2

   § 45-6-2.2  Imposition of penalty forillegal dumping or malicious damage to street lights in the city of Warwick.– (a) The city of Warwick may impose penalties for each violation of chapter 8 ofthe compiled ordinances of the city of Warwick not exceeding the sum of sixhundred dollars ($600), or by imprisonment of not more than six (6) months injail or in a house of correction, unless the penalties are provided forotherwise by statute. All fines that are recovered shall inure to the benefitof the city of Warwick.

   (b) The city of Warwick may by ordinance impose a penaltythat those persons who are found guilty of malicious damage to street lights inthe city shall, in addition to any other penalty imposed by a court, haveimposed on them a fine equivalent to the replacement cost and labor charges ofthose street lights. However, in no case shall the fine imposed exceed fivehundred dollars ($500).
