§ 46-10-19 Inventory of property wreckedon Block Island – Reimbursement of director. – The director of the department of environmental management shall on every suchoccasion take an inventory of all the property that shall come into thedirector's possession; and whenever required by the owner of the property orthe owner's agent or by any insurance company or underwriter or other personinterested in the property, the director shall make an oath to the truth of theinventory, and shall deliver a copy thereof, together with all the property, tothe owner, agent, or other person lawfully authorized to receive it; provided,that there shall be paid or secured to be paid to the director a reasonablecompensation for his or her services and expenses, and the customhouse dutiesand other charges, if any, as he or she shall have paid or become liable to payon or for the property in question.
