SECTION 46-22-19
§ 46-22-19 Penalties. – In addition to any other penalties specified in this chapter:
(1) Any person who violates any provision of §§46-22-3 – 46-22-5, 46-22-8, 46-22-9.2, 46-22-10, and 46-22-13, or whoviolates any rule or regulation made under the provisions of those sectionsshall be guilty of a civil violation and be subject to a fine not to exceed onehundred dollars ($100) for each violation. Jurisdiction over violations of thissubsection shall be with the traffic tribunal. In accordance with chapter42-17.10, any person charged with violating any rule or regulation made underthe provisions of this subsection may elect to dispose of the charge withoutpersonally appearing before the traffic tribunal by mailing or delivering theform and summons to the traffic tribunal with a check or money order in theamount of one hundred dollars ($100).
(2) Any person who violates any provision of §§46-22-7 and 46-22-12 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to afine not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200) for each violation.
(3) Any person who violates any provision of §§46-22-9 and 46-22-9.1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject toa fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisonment not toexceed one year, or both for each violation.
