SECTION 46-4-4
§ 46-4-4 Penalties for violation of townordinances. – The town councils of the towns of Barrington, Little Compton, and Warren mayimpose penalties for the violation of ordinances and regulations, not exceedingin amount twenty dollars ($20.00) or imprisonment not exceeding ten (10) daysin some jail or house of correction, for any one offense, the fines to berecovered to the use of the towns; provided, however, the penalties are notrepugnant to the laws of this state or of the United States.
