SECTION 7-6-63

   § 7-6-63  Filing of claims in liquidationproceedings. – In proceedings to liquidate the assets and affairs of a corporation, the courtmay require all creditors of the corporation to file with the clerk of thecourt or with the receiver, in any form that the court prescribes, proofs underoath of their respective claims. If the court requires the filing of claims itshall fix a date of not less than four (4) months from the date of the order,as the last day of the filing of claims, and shall prescribe the notice thatshall be given to creditors and claimants of the fixed date. Prior to the fixeddate, the court may extend the time for the filing of claims. Creditors andclaimants failing to file proofs of claim on or before the fixed date may bebarred, by order of court, from participating in the distribution of the assetsof the corporation.
