33-17-29. Death of eligible veteran. In case of the death of any person after July 1, 1969, who would, if alive, be entitled to benefits under §§ 33-17-16 to 33-17-38, inclusive, the bonus shall be paid to the person's dependents, if any. If there is more than one dependent, payment shall be made in a proportion determined by the commission and in the order of preference as follows: wife or husband, children, mother, father, foster mother, and foster father.
