Section 38-7-6 - Nonvoting members of commission--Tenure of office.

38-7-6. Nonvoting members of commission--Tenure of office. The following shall serve as nonvoting members of the State Conservation Commission: the secretary of Environment and Natural Resources; the director of the state extension service; the director of the state agricultural experiment station located at Brookings; the commissioner of school and public lands; the secretary of the Department of Game, Fish and Parks or his designee; and if approved by the United States secretary of agriculture, the state conservationist for the United States Soil Conservation Service, or their designee. A member of the commission shall hold office so long as he shall retain the office by virtue of which he shall be serving on the commission.
