49-5-5505. Term of employment, duties, and supplement of career level II supervisors.
(a) A career level II supervisor shall be employed on an eleven-month contract.
(b) A career level II supervisor shall perform the duties defined by the local board of education and consistent with state policy.
(c) A career level II supervisor employed as such by an LEA on an eleven-month contract shall receive a four thousand dollar ($4,000) salary supplement from the state in addition to all other compensation to which the supervisor may be entitled.
(d) A career level II supervisor who is not recertified as a career level II supervisor shall retain any other currently valid certificate held by the person at that time, including a career level I, II or III teacher certificate issued under parts 50 and 52-54 of this chapter and this part.
(e) Furthermore, the educator shall be eligible for extended employment opportunities otherwise available to teachers, pursuant to the approved local plan required by § 49-5-5209.
