49-7-2601. Triennial study of independent colleges and universities.

The Tennessee higher education commission in fulfillment of its role as the policy-planning agency for the state's entire complement of higher education institutions shall conduct a triennial study of independent, nonprofit, degree-granting colleges and universities accredited by the College Commission of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. A report on the findings of the study shall be submitted by the commission to the governor and the general assembly with a target date of December 1 of every third year, beginning in 1993. Information reported shall be consistent with planning and reporting requirements for public colleges and universities.
