20A-1-611. Cost of defense of action no part of campaign expense.
(1) Nothing contained in this chapter prevents any candidate from employing counsel torepresent him in any action or proceeding affecting his rights as a candidate or from paying allcosts and disbursements arising from that representation.
(2) Expenses paid or incurred for that representation may not be considered part of thecampaign expenses of any candidate.
