10.1-2000 - Museum created; essential governmental function.

§ 10.1-2000. Museum created; essential governmental function.

There is hereby created an institution of the Commonwealth of Virginia to beknown as "The Virginia Museum of Natural History," hereinafter referred toas the "Museum." The Museum is hereby declared to be a public body andinstrumentality for the purpose of preserving and protecting Virginia'snatural history. The exercise by the Museum of the powers conferred by thischapter shall be deemed an essential governmental function.
