§ 15.2-6630. Appointment of a board of directors.

The powers of the Authority shall be vested in the directors of theAuthority. The governing body of each participating political subdivisionshall appoint either one or two directors, one of whom shall be a member ofthe appointing governing body or its chief operating officer. In the eventthere are two or fewer participating jurisdictions in the Authority, eachparticipating jurisdiction shall appoint two directors.

The governing body of each political subdivision shall be empowered to removeat any time, without cause, any director appointed by it and appoint asuccessor director to fill the unexpired portion of the removed director'sterm.

If financial funds are available, each director may be reimbursed by theAuthority for the amount of actual expenses incurred by him in theperformance of his duties.
