§ 16.1-79.1. Electronic filing of civil cases.

The general district courts shall accept case data in an electronic formatfor any civil action filed. The use of the electronic transfer shall be atthe option of the plaintiff or the plaintiff's attorney, and if electronictransfer is utilized, the plaintiff or the plaintiff's attorney shall complywith the security and data configuration standards established by the Officeof the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court. If electronic transfer isutilized, the plaintiff or the plaintiff's attorney shall be responsible forfiling with the clerk of the general district court the paper copies of anypleading for the proper processing of such civil actions as otherwiserequired by law.
