§ 17.1-907. Oaths; inspection of books and records; subpoenas.

In the conduct of investigations and formal hearings, the Commission may (i)administer oaths and affirmations; (ii) order and otherwise provide for theinspection of books and records; and (iii) issue subpoenas for the attendanceof witnesses and the production of papers, books, accounts, documents, andother records or tangible evidence relevant to any such investigation orformal hearing.

The power to administer oaths and affirmations, to issue subpoenas, or tomake orders for or concerning the inspection of books and records may beexercised by any member of the Commission, unless the Commission shallotherwise determine.
