§ 18.2-139. Injuries to trees, fences or herbage on grounds of Capitol, or inany public square.

If any person:

(1) Cut down, pull up, girdle or otherwise injure or destroy any tree growingin the grounds of the Capitol, or in any public square or grounds, withoutthe consent of the Governor, or of the circuit court of the county or city inwhich such grounds or square is situated; or

(2) Willfully and maliciously injure the fences or herbage of the Capitolgrounds, or of any such square or grounds,

he shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
