§ 19.2-374. Notice issued by clerk.

As soon as the warrant has been executed and returned, the clerk shall issuea notice reciting briefly the filing of the information, the object thereof,the issuing of the warrant and the seizure of the property thereunder, andciting all persons concerned in interest to appear on a day fixed on saidnotice which date shall not be less than ten days from the date of suchnotice, and show cause why the prayer of the information for condemnation andsale should not be granted. He shall, at least ten days before the day fixedby the notice for appearance, post a copy of the notice at the front door ofthe courthouse of his county or city. Such posting shall be sufficientservice of the notice on all persons concerned in interest, except asprovided in §§ 19.2-375 and 19.2-376.
