§ 19.2-380. Trial of issues of fact.

When the case is ready for trial, such issues of fact as are made by thepleadings, or as the court may direct, shall be tried by a jury, unless atrial by jury be dispensed with by consent of parties, in which case, thecourt shall determine the whole matter of law and fact.
