§ 24.2-117. Removal of officer of election on request of candidate.

A candidate may require the removal of an officer of election for theelection in which he is a candidate by a request in writing, filed at leastseven days before the election with the electoral board appointing theofficer, on the grounds that the officer is the spouse, parent, grandparent,sibling, child, or grandchild of an opposing candidate. The electoral boardmay appoint a substitute who shall hold office and serve for that election.
