§ 44-36. Enlistment contract and oath.
Enlisted persons shall not be recognized as members of the National Guarduntil they shall have signed an enlistment contract and taken and subscribedto the oath of enlistment prescribed by present or subsequently amendedNational Guard regulations; or such oath of enlistment as shall be prescribedby the Governor of Virginia for members of the Virginia State Defense Force.
