§ 46.2-1978. Discontinuation of distributors.
If the contract between a distributor and a manufacturer or importer isterminated or otherwise discontinued, all franchises granted to T&M vehicledealers in Virginia by that distributor shall continue in full force andshall not be affected by the discontinuance, except that the manufacturer,factory branch, distributor, representative, or other person who undertakesto distribute T&M vehicles of the same line-make or the same T&M vehicles ofa re-named line-make shall be substituted for the discontinued distributorunder the existing T&M vehicle dealer franchises and those franchises shallbe modified accordingly.
