§ 53.1-142. Assignments of officers to districts.

There shall be at least one probation and parole officer for each probationand parole district. The Director of the Department may assign officersauthorized in one district to duties in another district. However, no suchtransfer shall be effected without the concurrence of the affected officer.Any officer so assigned shall have the same power and authority as an officerauthorized by the judge or judges of the court or courts of such otherdistrict. The Director, in consultation with the court, shall designate allsupervisory staff.
