§ 6.2-1500. (Effective October 1, 2010) Definitions.

As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning:

"Consumer finance company" means a person engaged in the business ofmaking loans to individuals for personal, family, household, or othernonbusiness purposes.

"License" means a single license issued under this chapter with respect toa single place of business.

"Licensee" means a consumer finance company to which one or more licenseshave been issued.

"Principal" means any person who, directly or indirectly, owns or controls(i) 10 percent or more of the outstanding stock of a stock corporation or(ii) a 10 percent or greater interest in another person.
