§ 6.2-1611. (Effective October 1, 2010) Investigations; examinations.

The Commission may, as often as it deems necessary, investigate and examinethe affairs, business, premises, and records of any mortgage lender ormortgage broker required to be licensed under this chapter insofar as theypertain to any business for which a license is required by this chapter.Examinations of such mortgage lenders shall be conducted at least once ineach three-year period. In the course of such investigations andexaminations, the owners, members, officers, directors, partners, andemployees of such mortgage lender or mortgage broker being investigated orexamined shall, upon demand of the person making such investigation orexamination, afford full access to all premises, books, records andinformation which the person making such investigation or examination deemsnecessary. For the foregoing purposes, the person making such investigationor examination shall have authority to administer oaths, examine under oathall the aforementioned persons, and compel the production of papers andobjects of all kinds.
