§ 6.2-2301. (Effective October 1, 2010) Access to joint safe deposit box.
When a box is rented from any company transacting business in theCommonwealth under the name of two or more persons with (i) the right ofaccess being given to either or (ii) access to either the survivor orsurvivors of such persons, any one or more of such persons, whether the otheror others be living or not shall have the right of access to the box and mayremove therefrom its contents. In the case of such a removal, the companyshall be exempt from any liability for permitting such person access thereto.
