(1) Veterinary diagnostic laboratory board.15.915(1)(a)
(a) There is created a veterinary diagnostic laboratory board attached to the University of Wisconsin System under s. 15.03.15.915(1)(b)
(b) The veterinary diagnostic laboratory board shall consist of the following members:15.915(1)(b)1.
1. The secretary of agriculture, trade and consumer protection or his or her designee.15.915(1)(b)2.
2. The chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison or his or her designee.15.915(1)(b)3.
3. The dean of the school of veterinary medicine or his or her designee.15.915(1)(b)4.
4. A veterinarian employed by the federal government, to serve at the pleasure of the governor.15.915(1)(b)5.
5. Five other members representing persons served by the veterinary diagnostic laboratory, at least one of whom is a livestock producer, at least one of whom represents the animal agriculture industry and at least one of whom is a practicing veterinarian who is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, appointed for 3-year terms.15.915(1)(b)6.
6. The director of the veterinary diagnostic laboratory, who shall serve as a nonvoting member.15.915(2)
(2) Laboratory of hygiene board. There is created in the University of Wisconsin System a laboratory of hygiene under the direction and supervision of the laboratory of hygiene board. The board shall consist of:15.915(2)(a)
(a) The chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the secretary of health services, the secretary of natural resources and the secretary of agriculture, trade and consumer protection, or their designees.15.915(2)(b)
(b) A representative of local health departments who is not an employee of the department of health services, one physician representing clinical laboratories, one member representing private environmental testing laboratories, one member representing occupational health laboratories and 3 additional members, one of whom shall be a medical examiner or coroner, appointed for 3-year terms. No member appointed under this paragraph may be an employee of the laboratory of hygiene.15.915(2)(c)
(c) The director of the laboratory, who shall serve as a nonvoting member.15.915(6)
(6) Environmental education board.15.915(6)(a)
(a) Creation. There is created an environmental education board attached to the University of Wisconsin System under s. 15.03.15.915(6)(b)
(b) Members. The environmental education board shall consist of the following members:15.915(6)(b)1.
1. The state superintendent of public instruction.15.915(6)(b)2.
2. The secretary of natural resources.15.915(6)(b)3.
3. The president of the University of Wisconsin System.15.915(6)(b)4.
4. The director of the technical college system.15.915(6)(b)5.
5. One majority and one minority party senator and one majority and one minority party representative to the assembly, appointed as are the members of standing committees in their respective houses.15.915(6)(b)6.
6. One member, appointed for a 3-year term by the president of the University of Wisconsin System, to represent each of the following:15.915(6)(b)6.a.
a. Elementary and secondary school environmental educators.15.915(6)(b)6.b.
b. Conservation and environmental organizations.15.915(6)(b)6.c.
c. Business and industry.15.915(6)(b)6.d.

g. Nature centers, zoos, museums and other nonformal environmental educational organizations.15.915(6)(b)6.h.

(c) Designees. Members of the board under par. (b) 1. to 4. may appoint designees to serve on the board, if the designee is an employee or appointive officer of the agency who has sufficient authority to deploy agency resources and directly influence agency decision making.15.915 - ANNOT.
