§ 808a. Sale, chartering, leasing, mortgaging or transferring of documented vessels without approval of Secretary
A vessel that is or was last documented under chapter
121 of title
46 may be sold, chartered, leased, mortgaged, or transferred by any other means to a citizen of the United States (as defined in section 2101 of that title) without the approval of the Secretary of Transportation under section
808 of this Appendix.
