115.297. Before the precinct registers are delivered to thepolling places for an election, the election authority shallrecord in the precinct registers those voters who have submittedan absentee ballot and are ineligible to vote at the polls. Onelection day, the election authority shall notify the appropriateelection judges of any absentee ballot received by the electionauthority not previously recorded in a precinct register. Theelection authority shall record the fact in the appropriateprecinct register and shall not allow any person who has voted anabsentee ballot in the election to vote at the polls on electionday. After the election and before convening the verificationboard, the election authority shall record in the precinctregisters those voters whose absentee ballots were received toolate to permit previous recording in the precinct registers. Ifit is determined that any voter submitted an absentee ballot andvoted at the polls on election day, the election authority shallcertify the fact and the name of the voter to the verificationboard. Such certificate shall be included with the abstractsdrawn by the verification board.
