115.479. In each jurisdiction using an electronic voting system, theelection authority shall, after the count has been completed and theresults received, have the automatic tabulating equipment tested toascertain that the equipment has correctly counted the votes for alloffices and on all questions. The test shall be observed by at least twopersons designated by the election authority, one from each major politicalparty, and shall be open to the public. The test shall be conducted byprocessing the same preaudited group of ballot cards used in thepreelection test provided for in section 115.233. If any error isdetected, the cause shall be ascertained and corrected, and an errorlesscount shall be made before the final results are announced. After thecompletion of an errorless count, the programs and the ballot cards shallbe sealed, retained and disposed of as provided for paper ballots.
