Administration of oaths--subpoenas--enforcement of subpoenas.

290.280. The authorized representative of the department mayadminister oaths, take or cause to be taken the depositions ofwitnesses, and require by subpoena the attendance and testimonyof witnesses and the production of all books, records, and otherevidence relative to any matter under investigation or hearing.The subpoena shall be signed and issued by the department'sauthorized representative. In case of failure of any person tocomply with any subpoena lawfully issued under this section, oron the refusal of any witness to produce evidence or to testifyto any matter regarding which he may be lawfully interrogated,the authorized representative of the department may proceed toenforce obedience to the subpoenas in the manner provided bysection 536.077, RSMo, for administrative agencies. Theauthorized representative of the department shall have the powerto certify to official acts.
