Scope of law.
375.1280. Sections 375.1280 to 375.1295 provide for theregulation of the transfer and novation of contracts of insuranceby way of assumption reinsurance. It defines assumptionreinsurance and establishes notice and disclosure requirementswhich protect and define the rights and obligations ofpolicyholders, regulators and the parties to assumptionreinsurance agreements.
