SECTION 33-6-26

   § 33-6-26  Intent of testator as toapportionment of debts. – In case the testator, by making a specific devise or bequest, has virtuallyexempted a devisee or legatee from liability to contribute with the others forthe payment of debts, or if by any other provisions in his or her will he orshe has prescribed or required an appropriation of his or her estate differentfrom that prescribed in § 33-6-25, his or her property shall beappropriated and applied in conformity with the will, so far as suchappropriation and application can be made without affecting the liability ofhis or her whole estate for the payment of his or her debts and the charges ofsettling his or her estate.
