Landano, 508 U.S. 165 (1993)[1] was a case in which the Supreme Court of the United States set limits on the federal government's ability to use the exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). More specifically, this case dealt with the government's notorious and excessive use of Exemption 7(D) in the Freedom of Information Act.
