Cocaine What is Cocaine?

Cocaine is the illegal byproduct of the naturally-occurring Coca Plant that is considered to be primarily indigenous to forest and jungle regions throughout South America; through the cultivation of this plant, the unlawful creation of Cocaine can take place – furthermore, the possession of the Coca plant in its raw, organic form is highly regulated and controlled.

Identifying and Creating Cocaine

Cocaine is typically fashioned to appear as a white, powdered substances considered by many to resemble baking flour; the granules of Cocaine – like flour – are considerable fine and far more soft to the touch than salt or sugar crystals. 

The process of creating Cocaine entails the gathering of the Coca plant, the extraction of the intoxicative product located within it, and the subsequent cultivation of the drug; although Cocaine is derived from a natural source, it is classified as a synthetic drug whose integrity is spurious – in many cases, Cocaine is mixed with toxic chemicals in order to render a higher volume of production.

The Dangers of Cocaine

Cocaine is considered to be one of the most highly-addictive narcotics currently in circulation, which has been the cause of millions of deaths since its introduction to society. Cocaine can impair individuals in the performance of daily tasks, resulting in accidents, violence, and death. 

The possession of Cocaine is considered to be a criminal felony; depending upon the amount discovered on an individual’s person, punitive recourse can range in severity – typically, those convicted of Cocaine distribution are incarcerated, regardless of circumstance.
