The American Bar Association

The American Bar Association The American Bar Association is committed to ensuring that there is a standard of legal practice, including moral and ethical standards, which apply to everyone in the field of law.  The Bar Association began when lawyers met to discuss the state of law in America. Many lawyers felt that there were lawyers that took part in behavior that should not be tolerated. The group set out to hold all lawyers to standards which included fair actions and equal access to legal representation.
